| Plan | 0.5% risk | 1% risk | 2% risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Step Challenge1-step · $100K | 99%+ | 93% | 23% |
| 2-Step Challenge2-step · $100K | 99%+ | 96% | 78% |
Risk per trade moves these numbers more than the choice of plan. 1-Step Challenge goes from 99%+ at 0.5% risk to 23% at 2%: at 2% risk, 100% of failed attempts end on the 3% daily limit: two losing trades in one day hit it. At 0.5% risk the best pass chance at FTMO is 2-Step Challenge (99%+), though smaller risk also means more days to reach the target.
The reference trader is not you. Your win rate, R:R and risk decide which FTMO plan suits you. The calculator ranks all 22 plans for your own numbers.
Run your own numbersTarget, limits and prices confirmed on FTMO's own pricing page. The 10% max loss trails the highest end-of-day balance as a fixed amount, so on $100K a $104,000 close moves the floor to $94,000. Daily loss is 3% of initial capital, measured from the midnight balance. The Best Day rule caps your best day at 50% of your total profit, so losing days count against you; breaking it does not fail the account but keeps you trading until the ratio is met. All three mechanics confirmed in FTMO's own rule definitions. No minimum trading days.
In the simulation: 93% of attempts pass, in about 11 trading days; 100% of failed attempts end on the maximum loss. Verified Nov 2026.
Static max loss measured from the initial balance, including floating P&L. Time limit removed in 2026. Priced in euros; converted at 1.116 only so it can be ranked against the USD-priced firms. Minimum trading days are reported as 4 per phase, though one 2026 reading of the rules page showed none.
In the simulation: 96% of attempts pass, in about 20 trading days; 100% of failed attempts end on the maximum loss. Verified Nov 2026.
